Who we are:
Canto Deo is a Denver, Colorado based Christian choir dedicated to the performance of sacred choral music. Established in 2007 we are dedicated to the following core values:

We are Christian musicians, singing for the glory of God;
We strive for excellence and integrity in our craft.
We are a community serving each other and the world with compassion and humility;
We are building on and contributing to the rich heritage of sacred music.

Canto Deo Christian Choir is a practiced expression of individuals loving music and loving God and coming together in fellowship. We are all committed volunteers, joined in relationships among our members, the Christian community and larger community of Denver, Colorado and the world, celebrating our love of our God. As testament to the need for such an organization, our membership has nearly doubled in the first year of operation, and includes amateur and professional musicians alike. Canto Deo is non-denominational, and we invite all to join us, either as musicians or as supporters.

What we do:
Canto Deo is a Denver community choir whose mission is to sing sacred song, in doing so we will honor God, inspire audiences and enrich each other. Each year we celebrate our tradition of sacred Christian music through 3-5 formal concerts in which we both highlight traditional genre and debut new works. We also conduct numerous small group performances in both traditional and non-traditional settings. Through innovative programming and excellence in performance, we hope to rekindle the appreciation of traditional Christian music in both worship services and public venues.

Canto Deo is dedicated to excellence in performance and carrying on our Christian cultural heritage by exploring choral literature from diverse historical periods and styles. As part of our contribution to our heritage, Canto Deo also supports the creation of new sacred choral works and serves as a community based resource for sacred music.

Canto Deo's operations depend entirely on the financial gifts of individuals and sponsors that wish to preserve the classics in sacred music. Canto Deo is a registered 501(c)(3) public charity and all donations are fully tax deductible.
